There are 3 Ayurvedic body types, called doshas, which include: vata, pitta, and kapha. Each dosha has a unique purpose for the body, mind and spirit.

HOW IMBALANCES HAPPEN
Imbalances come when we live in a way that doesn't support doshic balance. Some of the ways we can get out of balance can include: eating foods that don't support your unique constitution, irregular schedules, over or under-exercising, fluctuations in work, unprocessed feelings, work/home/environmental stressors and more. With imbalances come potential illness, injuries, burn-out and/or disease.
